Avatorial helps individual professionals write and publish their own Reddit posts and comments — with a human approving every single item before it goes anywhere. This page documents exactly what our app does, and what it refuses to do.
Each end user connects their own Reddit account through Reddit's standard OAuth2 consent screen (scopes: identity, submit, read, history). The app acts only on behalf of that authenticated user, never on unconnected accounts.
Every post and every comment is individually reviewed and explicitly approved by the account owner before submission. There is no auto-posting mode at any price tier — the requirement is enforced in our database and publish code, not policy text.
The app may search public posts for topics a user follows and suggest a conversation worth joining, with a draft reply. Suggestions are shown to the human; nothing is submitted without their per-item approval. No keyword-triggered automation exists.
With the user's consent the app reads the user's own posting history a single time, to build their personal writing-style profile. That data serves only that user's profile.
Accounts operated through Avatorial disclose it in their profile, and our API traffic carries a descriptive User-Agent with a contact address. We respect each subreddit's rules — including those that prohibit assisted posting; where a community says no, the answer is no.
API calls are throttled (~1 request/second), volumes are small (individuals posting a few times per week), and Reddit's rate limits are honored.
No data collection outside the authenticated API, no bulk harvesting, no feeds or datasets built from Reddit content.
Reddit content is never used to train AI models — ours or anyone's. A user's own history informs only their individual style profile.
No mass posting, no cross-posting floods, no vote manipulation, no engagement with users who haven't consented, no private messages without explicit user action.

Server-side OAuth2 authorization-code flow, permanent-duration refresh tokens, redirect URI https://app.avatorial.com/auth/reddit/callback. Tokens live in Google Secret Manager (EU), never in our application database, and are destroyed on disconnect.
